Sophie Ellis, Communications & Marketing Lead for North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was guest host for this month’s One Halton Health Show on Halton Community Radio with Matthew Roberts (from Halton & St Helens VCA) in the Producer’s Chair.

Our first guest was Carly Coull from the Community Dental Network at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Then we were joined by Rachel Browning & Jen McCarthy from Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who talked about 2020as the Year of the Nurse & Midwife. In the second hour of the show we chatted with Alison Farquhar from the Halton CAMHS team at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We also paid tribute to Gail Briers, the Trust’s outgoing Chief Nurse & Deputy Chief Executive. Finally, we were joined on the phone by Chris Carlin of Well Halton, who talked about Halton Make Fest and the North West Coast Research & Innovation Awards 2020.

Members of the R Time group from Halton Carers Centre took to the airwaves on Halton Community Radio.

During the live broadcast we heard from Nathan, Lexie, Kenzie, Charleigh, Finn, Cookie, Georgia, Kayleigh and Lexie. They were supported by Producer Kate, Producer Micheala and Producer Matt.

The show included chats about Musicals, Dad Jokes, people talking about songs they love, comedy, Stranger Things and football chat!

Eugene Lavan from Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was the guest host for this month’s One Halton Health Show on Halton Community Radio with Matthew Roberts (from Halton & St Helens VCA) in the Producer’s Chair.

Our first guests were Jane Marshall & Angie Alderton from the Halton Wellbing Team at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Then we were joined by Carl Harris from Halton Carer’s Centre who spoke about National Young Carers Awareness Day.
Sheridan Coker from North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust chatted with us about her work as an Admiral Nurse. Finally, Chris Carlin from Well Halton joined us to talk about Community Shop in Runcorn and the upcoming Halton Make Fest.

For listeners who enjoy hearing the team covering old ground, Matt told his story about Dave Sweeney & Rick Astley and Chris reminisced about he & Matt’s failed rap career. Matt also sang which provided a worrying insight into the suffering his two children endured as babies.

To celebrate National Young Carers Awareness Day, members of the R Time group from Halton Carers Centre took to the airwaves on Halton Community Radio.

One Halton Health Show Podcast – 19th December 2019

“I smell a 6 album deal…”

Dave Sweeney (from Cheshire & Merseyside Health & Care Partnership) & Cath McClennan (Director for NHS Improving Me programme) were guest host for this month’s One Halton Health Show on Halton Community Radio with Matthew Roberts (from Halton & St Helens VCA) in the Producer’s Chair.

Our first guests were the 0-19ers Bridgewater Choir who admirably overcame technical concerns to serenade us with several wonderful Christmas songs & carols. Then we were joined by Lucy Webb & Portia Chikwanha from the Hallton Integrated Frailty Service at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Vicky Selby from North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust chatted with us about the Cheshire & Mersey Specialist Perinatal Service. Finally, Well Halton were represented by John Brownbill & Torie Begg from Sew Halton.

There was a hard fought battle for the 2019 Best NHS Halton Stakeholder Christmas Jumper/Uniform Competition and the team officially started Christmas in Halton by singing “Fairytale of New York”.
