Our colleagues at St Helens CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) have asked us to circulate the following information:
A video highlighting NHS St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) vision for improving health services for local people is now available to view online.
The nine-minute film features footage of St Helens, a patient story and St Helens GPs and health leaders telling us what excites and motivates them about the organisation and the new ways of working.
It showcases the clinical commissioning group’s priorities around engaging with local people about their needs and working closely with partners across the borough to ensure healthcare services are joined up.
Dr Stephen Cox, Clinical Accountable Officer of NHS St Helens CCG, said: ‘Engaging with and involving the public in decisions about their healthcare services is vital for improving care. ‘We hope by watching the film local people will gain a bit more understanding about the new NHS system and how we can make a difference together.’ NHS St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group is responsible for planning NHS services across the borough, and works with other clinicians and healthcare providers to ensure they meet the needs of local people. Clinical commissioning groups became statutory bodies in April 2013.
